HEYERDAHL, Thor. The Kon-Tiki Expedition

£60.00

The Kon-Tiki Expedition, Thor Heyerdahl. 1950. Allen & Unwin. 8vo. First edition, first printing. Maroon cloth with gilt to spine, publisher’s red topstain, in the original dust jacket. A very good copy in a somewhat tattered dust jacket, unclipped, with some chips and loss to spine tips and further nicks, rubbing and closed tears along most edges and joints, with a Harrods Library blindstamp to rear flap imprinting on the rear pastedown, though with no other library stamps or notes. Cloth generally clean with the tips just a touch discoloured in places, but the binding tight and square, the topstain a touch discoloured. Internally mostly excellent, with a rather charming Bronte-inspired Haworth bookplate to front endpaper, but otherwise clean throughout.
