JACKSON, Robert H. The Nürnberg Case together with other documents. New York: Alfred A. Knopf. 1947. 8vo. First edition. Publisher's red cloth lettered in gilt to the spine with the publisher's blindstamped borzoi motif to front board, in the dust jacket designed by David Soshensky. A nice example, the gilt to spine a little dulled, with a few nicks to the cloth foot and corners gently bumped. The binding tight and gently rolled, the topstain bright, the contents clean throughout. The dust jacket unclipped ($3.00 net) with some light nicks and shallow chips to corners and some edges, some creasing, with the spine panel gently faded. Numerous tape repairs to verso holding things together, but nevertheless very scarce.

Sub-titled 'an authoritative and comprehensive picture of history's greatest criminal trial.' The volume is certainly that; it condenses the 17,000 pages of the testimony transcript into one volume, and includes Jackson' Opening Statement and Closing Speech in their entirety--he served as Chief United States Prosecutor during the trials. It highlights some of the key components of the trials with in-depth testimonies of high-profile figures, plus various photographic plates. An important book.
