MARLE, T. B., The Croatian Shirt

£100.00

MARLE, T. B. The Croatian Shirt. London: Arthur Barker. 1936. 8vo. First edition. Publisher’s red cloth lettered in black to the spine, in the striking dust jacket. Scarce romance novel. A very good copy overall, the cloth generally clean with some light discolouration to spine and boards. The binding tight and gently rolled, with a few light stains to textblock edges. The contents generally clean, some light spots to the prelims and occasionally elsewhere, with faint water stain to extremities of the rear pastedown, matching the jacket rear panel. Some loss to spine head and tail in particular, smaller nicks, chips and a few closed tears, but an altogether nice example of an uncommon volume.

Uncommon romance novel from the author who penned several similar novels, often set in the Balkans and often with themes of mystery adventure. Most of his novels were also accompanied by great dust jackets.
