£25.00

PARSONS, F. G. The Earlier Inhabitants of London. London: Cecil Palmer. 1927. 8vo. Publisher’s mottled blue cloth with gilt to spine, in the uncommon dust jacket. The author’s anthropological account of London from the Paleolithic era up until Saxon and Danish invasion. With numerous plates including illustrations of comparative skull composition.

An uncommon if somewhat troublesome copy, the cloth heavily mottled at the spine with a few spots to the front board, small nibbles at one edge. But else fine; the binding tight and square, the contents fine throughout, and the scarce dust jacket excellent, browned at the spine panel and here priced at 10/6 net, with a couple other small nicks to corners and tips.
