Together with a correspondence letter from Waugh turning down the opportunity to write for The Alleynian, as a response to a young John Antcliffe’s initial request. Letter headed by the pictorial home of Evelyn and Auberon Waugh, Combe Florey House, Somerset. Dated September 1977. Also signed by Waugh. From the personal library of John Antcliffe, the public relations specialist and Conservative politician of the 80s. Condition: very good. Original dust jacket, unclipped (21s price), has some minor wear and bumping with some light browning here and there to rear. Small 1/2cm tear to lower jacket near spine. Purple boards in very good to NF condition with minimal bumping or wear. Internally, no inscriptions present aside from authorial inscription, very bright and clean. The accompanying letter is in very good condition with negligible creasing. Also clean and bright. Now in protective Mylar. A rare copy extended by accompanying letter.
