The Puzzle of the Happy Hooligan, Stuart Palmer. 1941. Collins Crime Club. 8vo. First edition, first printing. Red cloth with black titles in original dust jacket by Nicolson. Near fine in very good minus jacket, clipped with spine panel a touch faded, some small chips at the spine tips and forecorners, a few light creases and tiny closed tears along other edges, the front panel very clean and altogether presentable in Mylar. Cloth very clean and bright, the edges clean, the binding tight with perhaps a very gentle lean from the top. Internally very clean, ink ownership inscription of Sheila Davies to ffep and a couple of minor blemishes from paper quality, but otherwise fine. A terrific copy.
